I am only mentioning
drugs in the context of human sexual behaviour.
I am often asked about the effect of drugs on potency and fertility,
for example. We all know that alcohol causes 'brewers droop',
which is to say that a guy who's drunk may be randy but he can't
always perform. Marijuana, on the other hand, tends to cause
the opposite problem a guy can go and go but sometimes can't
ejaculate. Conversely, a small amount of alcohol can improve
staying power so long as the guy is not too drunk to benefit from
it. It has been known to help sufferers of premature ejaculation,
And, yes, the bad news
is that prolonged use of some drugs, such as 'speed', can cause
I'd like to say don't
take drugs at all, but, if you must, at least consider why
you do. It is the addiction that is at fault, not the substance
to which you're addicted. There are many forms of addiction,
including addiction to sex.
A recent fad that needs
a mention is body-piercing, for example, of nipples and genitals.
Health authorities warn that bloodborne diseases such as hepatitis
B and HIV/AIDS could be contracted by people who come in contact
with body-piercing implements or infected blood during the procedure.
The same also applies to tattooing. Again, don't let
fashion or peer pressure lead you into taking risks with your health.
Your body is your responsibility,
whatever your age, and no quick thrill or fashion fad can be worth
putting it or your life at risk. Always keep that in mind
and don't let anyone talk you into doing something you feel is wrong
